We came down in the summer this year and we stayed at Victoria
Court portsmouth hotels. We just can't fault it. We had
a lovely King size bed and its right in the centre.

I agree with Steve, Victoria
Court portsmouth hotels in Portsmouth is ideally located.
We flew in from Texas to Gatwick and its a direct train then
10 minutes walk to the hotel b&b.

We are from Brisbane and also stayed at Victoria
Court portsmouth hotels we were made most welcome. Its
great to stay somewhere that has a family that is associated
to the area.

When we stayed at Victoria
Court last year they had Wi-Fi then, and it was free. |

Coming from Australia we couldn't bring our laptop but David
at Victoria Court had supplied a computer for guest to use,
and that was free also.

Trains
to Portsmouth
We are coming to Portsmouth in the summer by train. Is there
anywhere that's in walking distance?

Can't go wrong with Victoria Court. The main line
railway station is 10 minutes walk. All the trains stop there
apparently. And we had a lovely time there. |

Things
to see in Portsmouth
We are thinking about visiting Portsmouth, but don't know
how long to visit?

As a rule of thumb, as I visit an important town
such as Portsmouth I allow about 2 or 3 days. you need about
a day travelling for arriving and departing. So a city like
Portsmouth 3 days minimum. I visited last September and there
was so much to see. To start with the obvious tourist sites
including HMS Victory, Mary Rose, The Warrior and just to soak
up the history of the dockyard. Round the harbour is a must.
Over in Gosport there is the submarine museum. The magnificent
Spiniker tower is fantastic, er my wife loved the shopping in
the shops there. Then there are the old walls of Old Portsmouth
leading onto the historic seafront, were you can ride on the
hovercraft to the Isle of Wight. While there visit Osbourn House.
Up on the top of Portsdown hillis Fort Nelson with wonderful
views of Portsmouth the Solent and Hampshire countryside. |
